The concept of the Musical Instrument Engineering Curriculum is two-fold. It includes both a minor program and a concentration certificate. The minor is intended to give engineers, musicians, and other technically inclined students a chance to apply their skills and interests toward building and analyzing musical instruments. The minor will be earned by completing the combination of five existing courses. The certificate is intended to let mechanical engineering students take this concept one step further. The course load for the certificate is more in depth and rigorous.
